How to get Rich in Kibera Part 1.

I like Being rich, When you have some Level of Wealth there are things You Can Control especially in a society or a community like Kibera. 

Since I have been here in kibera consistently since May 2003 I have seen Much especially with the self acclaimed rich people in Kibera. From the Outlook they don't look very rich yet they really are very rich. 

Now How does a person become rich in Kibera? Let me propose what I have seen with my own eye for these twelve year of consistent residency.

1. Be a Police officer

These Law enforcement officers  are a bunch of thieves stealing from the people of Kibera. They know every single Changaa Sales Points, Bar, Wines and Spirit shop and Bang' (Marijuana) Dispensaries. They collect money from these vendors and they get rich from it. 

When you fall in their hands, the police can kick your ribs, grab you like hand bag and  through you like garbage until they get like a hundred shillings bribe from you to set you free.

I have seen and concluded that a serious police who has been in kibera for Long now owns,  public pay toilet, some rental houses, a Matatu on the Road (Transport) and have a Wines and Spirits Outlet.

2. Be a "Youth"

These are legal clandestine groups, personalities and Individual working hand in hand with the Area Chiefs, and Assistant Chief. They are characterized by extortion, Malice and are prone to violence at some point. Whenever, they see Personal Investment and Development plans they think & act quick on how to make money out of it. They have earned Money from as a little as evicting a helpless tenant to large sums like Giving out Political Parties Nominations Certificates.

Some members of the so called "Youth" are extremely right and are wealthy and did I say more....they are also the land Grabbers, Deal strikers, Route Controllers and Political Brokers.

If you want to be rich then join them. How do they recruit? Well, just go to the Chief or Assistant Chief Offices, Hang around, Opportunities to be rich are never few. Be bold, have a daring face, smoke bang, be ready to curse,  build some Muscles by joining a local stone lifting and muscle building centers, put on shades on your eyes and always look busy. Keep hang around there for two three days put your ear on the ground get some information on who is doing what were and you get hooked up.

Contracts will come through the Chiefs, or the Assistant Chief, or the leader of those groups,  or from the concerned residents or members of the public, you will develop your own service charges e.g service charges from five hundred shillings to ten thousand based on the job at hand.
