The Cry Echoes!!

Help!!  Help!! Is a daily cry of a needy Man, Mother, Kid or any person in Danger, as I’m talking now, the cry is Fading, it can be heard from a far yet it can’t be located, a person has cried to the point of death, the response is at a snail pace, truly Nairobi has been rained on. Who will help the crying, who will hear the cry of those buried under the debris of the falling and sinking buildings? The overflowing drainage? The flooded roads? Who will search the rivers which has swept the innocent ones? Who will answer this quickly fading call for Help?
The most recent and the ongoing floods in Nairobi are beyond our shock; the raging waters have claimed lives after lives, people are screaming for Help all over, but who listens!!! When you stand in the Cluster of those who “knows,” those gathered in the Central business District of the greater Nairobi City County, all you hear is whispers. Whispers on who is responsible; responsible for the Crying!! They stand in Clusters to find blame yet the Cry still echoing!! Help!! Help!! Help!! The cry goes but who will respond??
I want to believe the response will be after the blame. Some point their fingers at the Governor of Nairobi H.E Hon. Dr. Evans Kidero, saying “He has done nothing concerning the Drainage Systems of the City, He has hired too many county workers yet no evident work is done” thus He will not be reelected. Some point their finger at their Land Lords “Our houses are built on tilted grounds or next to or on the Drainage systems, or our houses are substandard” some have shifted from their horizontal Blames and now are stretching their fingers vertically to the Almighty God. And saying “This Rain is too much now, people are dying maybe it’s the will of God for people to die that way, God should stop this Rain” Yet when God takes too long to bring the Rains they pray and fast for the Rains to fall on them, they preach sermons of God’s ability to bring Rains, they stir up their faith towards the coming of the Rains, the sound of thunder to them before the rains are answered prayers!!! This sound increases their hope and affirms to them Faith works beyond reasonable doubt. I will contribute not further to their blames nor will I listen anymore.
In fact, all I need is response to the cry Help!! Help!!!  The cry is quickly fading and we will soon gather for funeral and claim how good they were and how we will miss them yet we never heed to their cry while they were still alive. Let it not be as the days of Noah, He was inside the Ark yet he could not help, the doors were closed, and it was beyond His Help.
Who should we assign then to response to the fading Cry for Help? Is it the Governor? Is it the Landlords? Is it God? Is it the National Youth Services? Is it the President of the Republic of Kenya? Or We the people?? Help!! Help!! The Cry Echoes.
